They brought us our favorite groups, artists, bands, and events.
They delivered the best of the best, the hot acts, the up and coming stars, the oldies but goodies, and the yet to be discovered performers.
They were the concert promoters and they were a key part of the history of Virginia's Music Soul.
They were daring, dashing, exciting, fun, funny, bold, bombastic music lovers who put the fans into the seats to see their favorite performers. Some made a living at it. Most others promoted as a sideline. There was plenty of money made and plenty of money lost.
Do you remember them? Here are some names of some of the concert promoters to grace our area. If you remember more, or were one yourself, contact us to let us know.
